Listener Reviews
The four stories included in this collection are "Love of Life,'' "Batard,'' "The House of Mapuhi'' and "Mauki'' — none of which I had read previously. Flo Gibson gets the most from any tale including these, which depict a man or woman against nature or some other potentially devastating circumstances. I recommend that all readers go back to the older short stories from time to time to cleanse the palate so to speak, and this collection of London stories is as good a way to accomplish the goal.
