Audio Book Contractors publishes and distributes unabridged classic books on CDs and available as downloads through Audible.com. We sell CDs to individuals, as well as to institutions.
Our current library contains over 700 titles by more than 270 authors. We specialize in classic novels, plays, poetry, short story collections, and children’s books. A fun fact: If you listened for 24 hours, seven days a week, it would take you over 40 weeks to hear all of our recordings!
We offer one of the largest selections of unabridged audio classic books available today. Most of these works have endured for centuries, and we feel it’s important to keep them alive for both our current customers and for future generations. Currently, over 250 of our titles are available on CD and more than 400 can be downloaded through Audible.com. That number will be steadily increasing. Although we have no control of the pricing of our downloads on Audible.co, we also strive to keep our CD prices as low as possible. We want recorded books to be affordable for our customers. We will continue to monitor our competitors to offer you the best value that we can.
The most expedient way to order CDs is through our website. We have a large inventory of CD titles on hand and will send your books upon receipt of your order. You may also purchase our products at Amazon.com, but delivery time depends upon their in-stock inventory. Barring any special in-house sales event, the retail price for new (unused) books is the same whether you order from us or from Amazon.
The books themselves that we record are in the Public Domain in the United States. However, our recordings of those books are copyrighted and may not be used by any outside source for any reason without express written consent from Audio Book Contractors. To receive consent, please contact us at audiobookcontractors@verizon.net. Duplication and distribution of our discontinued cassettes and current CDs by any party or parties outside of Audio Book Contractors is strictly prohibited and may be subject to legal action.
No, we do not ship to any countries outside of the continental United States,
You can pay for website purchases with Master Card, Visa, American Express and PayPal using our secure checkout process. We do not share any of your personal information with anyone outside of Audio Book Contractors. However, if you prefer to pay by check, contact us at audiobookcontractors@verizon.net and we will process your order very easily. There is no extra charge for paying by check.
An ever-growing number of our titles are available through Audible.com, which you can access here or by clicking on the Audible.com button on our home page. Audible.com determines the price of downloads of our books and any special sales advertised on our website do not apply to any of our titles on Audible.com or through any distributor other than ourselves.
We offer a discount to schools, libraries, book retailers, hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Other organizations may also be eligible for a discount. To request reduced pricing, please email us at info@audiobookcontractors.com.
Within the first year of purchase, should any of our CDs prove to have a manufacturer’s defect or be lost or damaged, we will replace it free of charge. If a CD is lost or damaged after the first year, there is a $6 charge for each replacement CD plus a $3 charge for shipping within the continental United States. If you have any problems, complaints or compliments regarding our books please contact us. Your feedback is very important to us.
We no longer offer rental services on any of our books.
